| Witness to will of Joseph Seats, 1737 1741, March 15 - William Partin registered a land patent for 220 acres on the South side of Nottaway river, beginning and extending on the South side of Anderson's branch (Virginia Land Office Patents and Grants, Patent No. 20, p. 197). 1745, June 16 - Gdpt. of Jesse Sturdivant (Albemarle Parish) 1746, July 20 - Gdpt. of Susanna Sturdivant (Albemarle Parish, Surry Co.) 1751, May 17, Gdpt. of Mary Harrison Three of children died in Nov. 1757 in a flu epidemic. William Parton filed a claim in Sussex County for providing 325 lbs. of beef to the Virginia militia (Abercrombie & Slatten, 1992). 1782 - 6 whites, 3 blacks (Wm.,Jr.??) . Another "William C.
