| Notes for Charles PARTIN | ||||||
| Supposedly b. 20 miles west of Dublin, Ireland. He and new bride left for America in 1794. Disembarked at Georgetown, SC. Moved to Tattnell Co., GA near the Choopee River. Had six children Robert, Hugh, John, Sallie, Mary & Elizabeth. He was a member of a commitee that petitoned the state legislature to est. the county of Tattnell. Was later sheriff for 3-4 terms. Son, Robert, served several terms in the state legislature.Charles' wife died about 1830. Two years later he married Mary Thomas.
